Shannon Lionberger Hart Art & Business Scholarship
A Lasting Tribute at Lincoln Land Community College
The Shannon Lionberger Hart Art & Business Scholarship is being established by Major (Ret.) Michael P. Hart in memory of his late wife, Shannon, who studied at Lincoln Land Community College and earned a Bachelor of Arts.
Through a permanent endowment, the scholarship will honor her creativity and love of learning while providing recurring support for LLCC students pursuing their own aspirations.
An Annual Award Beginning Spring 2027
The scholarship will provide an annual cash award of approximately $500. Funding will be in place so that the first award can be made at Lincoln Land Community College in spring 2027.
The permanent endowment is intended to sustain this opportunity for future generations of students.
An Opportunity to Share Their Work
An opportunity for the recipient to exhibit their artwork on campus during the award year is also being explored. This component remains tentative as arrangements are developed with LLCC.
The intention is to pair financial support with an opportunity for a student artist to share their work with the campus community.
Criteria and Additional Details
Work is underway with the Lincoln Land Community College Foundation to finalize eligibility criteria, the selection process, application information, and additional award details.
Updates will be shared here as those arrangements are completed.
In Shannon’s Memory
This scholarship is a personal commitment to keep Shannon’s name connected to creativity, education, and opportunity at a college that was part of her own journey.
