Hart is a retired U.S. Army Major, combat veteran, author, and founder of Hart Legacy Press, LLC. His work focuses on leadership, stewardship, institutional resilience, military service, and the long-term human consequences of conflict and decision-making.

Through writing, scholarship initiatives, leadership-development efforts, ministry resources, public engagement, and systems-oriented analysis, Hart explores what carries forward across generations — and the responsibility leaders, institutions, and individuals share in shaping the future.

Current initiatives include the National Treasure or Trash and Di$cipleship book series, the Michael P. Hart Leadership & Stewardship Scholarship supporting Western Illinois University Army ROTC cadets, and emerging leadership and mentorship initiatives focused on stewardship, broadening experiences, organizational development, and long-term institutional sustainability.
